8 ACT: Expert Advice

 

Goal

  • Find evidence for your webshop idea: ask an expert about your idea and what your plans are!

 

Instructions

Search someone in your sector, in the
e-business world, in the digital marketing world... that you think would be
interesting to talk with. Spend at least half an hour asking him or her questions:

What trends do they see in e-commerce?

Do they have any relevant examples?

Any things you should take into account when developing your strategy?


Try to find proof for:

  • - There is sufficient search traffic to indicate demand.
  • - It's not in a negative trend
  • - Proven internet buyers.
  • - It's reasonable accessible in terms of competition.


Proof (as part of your portfolio)

    • Build sub page “ACT 3: Expert interview” as submenu of the menu “Activities” on your webshop. (you might need to wait doing this till you got the class about building your webshop - but you can prepare the content already now!). This will also be part of your intermediary presentation. You will hand in a transcript of the interview and also add the three main learnings from the interview: what has opened your eyes? What advice is definitely valuable? What didn't you knew before?

 
Proof (as part of permanent evaluation)

Make sure every team member knows what has been said and can answer questions about this when presenting your analysis and strategy in the first week after the Autumn break.
