In the previous course everyone took the floor for 5 minutes to showcase live a striking e-commerce website concept. During the coming weeks and months, the goal is to keep your eyes open for interesting e-business and e-commerce concepts, espcially because this will help you also getting inspired for your own e-commerce strategy.

Search real life examples of B2C, B2B, B2G, C2C, C2B, C2G, G2C, G2B ,G2G…

  • 20 unique websites, if possible nicely distributed among the 9 sorts of e-business applications
     
  • Pin what you have found  on your Pinterest “board” dedicated to e-business applications  (www.pinterest.com).
     
  • So become a “curator” for this board.
     
  • Put a note on each pinned item describing (using below 1-2-3 numbering):
  1. E-business application kind that applies (terminology used in this paragraph)
  2. E-commerce model(s) that apply: (e.g.: B2B, B2C,...)
  3. A striking e-commerce or e-marketing feature you observed for this case - and that relates to your e-commerce strategy

  • Result
  1. Embed the link to your pinterest board
  2. Your board needs to contain 20 pinned samples. Try to distributes as well as you can to cover 9 kinds of e-business applications and 9 x2x combinations
  3. Use the edit function to add text to each of your pinned items, specifying:
    1. E-business application sort that applies (terminology used here)
    2. E-commerce model(s) that apply: (e.g.: B2B, B2C,...)
    3. A striking e-commerce or e-marketing feature you observed for this case
  • Pinterest is an example of social media bookmarking/curating with a visual focus
     
  • Has become quite a hype in the US since 2012
  • Large female user population (fashion,...)
